On January 12th a 7.0 earthquake hit Haiti's capital, Port-Au-Prince and caused massive devastation to the city. It is estimated that the quake destroyed more than 4,000 buildings in the capital and caused 250,000 fatalities. Lack of food, clean water, medical care and the spread of disease may push the death toll even higher.
Think if this would happen to you, would you want people to be reaching out a helping hand to help rebuild your life and keep you alive by giving moeny and food. If you see a donation can or someone asking you to donate some money to help these people you really should. Take someones life in consideration.

A very powerful and compassionate statement. I think many people are feeling the way you do.
ReplyDeleteHey Jordan! Welcome to Globaloria. This was a very thoughtful blog post! The tragedy in Haiti is so sad, but it's great to see that people in our country are being so kind and sending resources down to help in the recovery.
ReplyDeleteAre you thinking about creating a game that addresses this subject?
I look forward to seeing your progress!!
Sincerely,
David Lowenstein
